Hobby2000 H2K72039 1/72 Arado 234 B-2 First Jets. The Arado 234 Blitz was the world's first operational jet-powered bomber, built by the German Arado company in the closing stages of WWII. Produced in limited numbers it was almost entirely in the reconnaissance role. in its few uses as a bomber it proved to be nearly impossible to intercept. It was the last Luftwaffle aircraft to fly over the UK during the war, in April 1945. Arado 234 estimated a maximum speed of 780km/h at 6,000m, an operating altitude of 11,000m and a range of 1,995km.
